God's Government

History has been made! America's first black president has been voted in. While I feel that Barack Obama was not the man I wanted in the presidency I am glad that America has come so far and is still the land of opportunity. As I sat and contemplated about all the events that have happened recently and what will result from this new president, I began to consider the One who is really in control. I considered the reality that Jesus Christ is the true King. I like how Pastor Garner stated that God's government is above the governments of this world. With this in mind we can see that through communism, democracy, socialist systems and free market economies Christ's rule has continued on. His reign has prevailed through dictators, tyrants, civil wars and guerrilla warfare. It is nice to know that no matter what, Christ's Kingdom has ruled since the beginning of time. It is even nicer to know that his Kingdom will continue to reign on into eternity!

Another Day

So another day is almost coming to a close. I am tired today. I feel like I could just use a few days to rest. I am not just talking about resting in the sense of sleep but I feel my mind, spirit and emotions could really use a rest. Life has felt like chaos lately. School, work, church, friends, family, politics, and the sad state of the world we live in have all been on my mind lately. I have been thinking a lot about the past and my future also. I wonder where I will be in 10 years, 2 years or in 1 year for that matter. Am I being successful in life? Am I really happy with the road I am taking? Well only time will tell and only God really knows the answers...

Here we go!

Alright, I know it's late but I have been checking out my blogg for my class at state and a few other bloggs and decided I would do one for my personal use. It seems now is an appropriate time to start writing some of my reflections on life since so much seems to be happening right now. Stay posted for exciting things to come!
